Product Designer

Shape the user experience of AI-powered products used by enterprise teams worldwide. You'll design intuitive interfaces that make complex AI workflows accessible and drive adoption across large organisations.

Remote (UK/EU) Remote £65,000 - £95,000 January 25, 2026

About the Role

Otinga is building products that help enterprises systematise AI innovation. Our AI Innovation Engine and Hackathon Platform are used by some of the world's largest companies to generate, validate, and implement AI ideas at scale. As our Product Designer, you will own the end-to-end design of these products.

This is not a role where you will be handed wireframes and asked to "make them pretty." You will be involved from problem definition through to shipped features, working closely with our product manager, engineers, and client-facing teams to create experiences that enterprise users actually want to use.

What You'll Do

  • Own the design of Otinga's AI Innovation Engine and Hackathon Platform, from strategic vision to pixel-level execution
  • Conduct user research with enterprise clients to understand their workflows, pain points, and adoption barriers
  • Design end-to-end experiences including user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI specifications
  • Build and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across products and efficient collaboration with engineering
  • Validate designs through usability testing, A/B experiments, and analysis of product analytics data
  • Collaborate with engineering on implementation, providing design specifications, reviewing pull requests, and iterating based on technical constraints
  • Present design work to stakeholders and clients, articulating design rationale and trade-offs

Design Challenges You'll Tackle

Our products handle complex workflows that need to feel simple:

  • AI Innovation Engine: How do you design an interface that lets a VP of Innovation track 200+ AI ideas across their organisation, filter by business unit, sort by projected value, and drill into individual business cases -- without overwhelming them?
  • Hackathon Platform: How do you create a real-time collaboration experience for 100+ participants during a 48-hour hackathon, with team workspaces, judging dashboards, and executive briefing views?
  • Data Visualisation: How do you present ML model outputs, confidence scores, and business projections in a way that builds trust with non-technical decision-makers?

Who You'll Work With

You will be the founding designer at Otinga, working directly with our CTO, product manager, and a team of 8 engineers. You will have significant autonomy to shape our design culture, processes, and standards from the ground up.

  • Experience conducting user research including interviews, usability testing, and survey design
  • Solid understanding of interaction design patterns, information architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Ability to work independently and make sound design decisions with minimal oversight
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams in agile environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for AI or data-intensive products
  • Familiarity with design systems and atomic design methodology
